Meeting the Moment and Running for Office with Dan Engelhart

Hello Everyone!

I’ve been talking about doing interviews with regular people who are running for office and this is my first. Let me just say that I applaud what Dan Engelhart was doing, and I think it’s wonderful that REAL PEOPLE are working to take back our government.

We all know full well that we’re in a “meet the moment” period of history. I know that I’ve been spending the last 10 years hoping that things would turn out okay. But that’s not happening. Things keep getting worse.

Dan is running for Minneapolis Park Board District One. In this conversation, he talks about getting a campaign off the ground, fundraising, and community organizing. You can read more about him here on his web page.

Honestly, we covered so much stuff that my head started to spin. A lot of you have been asking me questions about what we can do to create a more effective resistance, and Dan offers a TON of great, positive, lawful and peaceful ideas.

I am always mindful to emphasize that we are lawful and peaceful and we will win our country back through love rather than force. It can be done. In fact, it’s inevitable.

One important takeaway is that the people in government have gotten way too entitled. They think that once they get elected, they own the seat forever. But the truth is the seat is always only borrowed. We have to remind our elected officials that they work for US, not their billionaire donors. They’ve forgotten that to the detriment of all humanity.
