Hello Everybody!
I really appreciated this conversation with Dr. Yamicia Connor and Natasha K.. She explains the looming healthcare crisis that will, among other things, soon result in a projected shortage of 5,000 to 7,000 OB/GYNs. The consequence of this is that it simply won’t be possible for pregnant women in the United States of America to receive adequate healthcare.
The looming healthcare crisis will apply to all people, but maternal outcomes will be especially severe. When you take a step back and look at the concepts that are being implemented by the current Republican regime, it truly feels as if the torture of women is their intent.
We discussed how we can no longer afford to allow cruel and incompetent Republicans to frame the narrative about healthcare in the United States. The Republican position on everything from restrictions on access, educating the new generation of doctors, and funding hospitals can most accurately be described as a crime against humanity.
The takeaway from this conversation is that the looming crisis is severe, and it’s going to require a massive restructuring of our society to fix the issue. It’s time to roll up our sleeves, get to work, and not accept ‘no’ for an answer.
Dr. Yamicia Connor is passionate about this objective and emphasizes the fact that we cannot afford to be silent. In one way or another, this looming crisis is going to impact everyone. The sooner we adopt a reasonable response, the more lives we can save.
