People Who Spew Anti-LGBTQ+ Hate Are Often Child Abusers
Don't listen to the malicious attacks of dishonest and abusive people
Hello Friends,
I’ve just had an encounter with the most malicious sort of argument. Like many of you, I’ve grown frustrated with the fact that modern American conservatives constantly spread hatred against the LGBTQ+ community.
Conservatives also spread hatred against immigrants, women, the Black community, and many more.
In fact, all they do is spread hate.
Hate, hate, hate.
The only time they’re not spreading hate is when they pause to insult the disabled, or attack veterans, or strip impoverished people of any assistance. They’re a truly vile political ideology capable of electing a man who is completely devoid of integrity to the highest office of the land.
Perhaps the worst part of all this is how affronted they become when you point out the truth about them. They have not one act of kindness to their name, but when you say, “Hey…. maybe you guys could try something other than hate for once,” they clutch their pearls and gasp.
“How dare you suggest all we do is inflict agony upon the innocent! How dare you!”
Then they go right back to inflicting agony upon the innocent because that’s literally the only thing they do.
I find it absolutely stunning that conservatives object when you point out how homophobic they are. Literally, the only platform they run on is to strip the LGBTQ+ community of all its rights. On top of that, they have the nerve to say that they don’t stand for homophobia?
Come on… at least be honest. If everything you do hurts the LGBTQ+ community, you’re homophobic.
But I wrote an article making this connection, and some jerk started bleating in the comments about how he could vote for a candidate but not necessarily support everything that candidate did.
Bullshit.
Putting it in vague terms like that is completely dishonest. He’s acting like homophobia is a fringe aspect of conservative ideology. Here in my state of Wisconsin, about half of conservative political ads contain a homophobic element.
It’s constant.
It’s in your face.
Nobody can realistically claim they didn’t know conservatives don’t stand for hatred against the LGBTQ+ community.
So I mentioned this to the guy who commented, and he predictably started in with how it was my responsibility to be more tolerant. “You’re either preaching to the choir, or your pushing people to be more entrenched in their beliefs.”
Again… bullshit.
These people who talk in absolutes are always so full of it. You see, the reality of what’s going on is that this individual did not want me to start a discussion about how conservative ideology has descended into pure hatred.
HE DOESN’T WANT ME TO TALK ABOUT THAT!
The reason he doesn’t want me to say that is because he knows if we shame conservatives enough, people will either leave the party or force the party to be less hateful.
This idea that accountability leads people to ignore you or become more entrenched is a complete lie.
But what do you expect from a conservative apologist? They’re the most dishonest, deceitful, and hateful people in the world. They’re the type of people who would elect a felon and sex offender to the highest office in the land.
Then they want to slink around not claiming responsibility for that.
“Yeah, I voted for a rapist, but that doesn’t mean I support rape.”
That’s the way they actually think!
I told him he was wrong again, and his final response was to say, “You’ve just made me more likely to vote conservative, it’s on you.”
Ha!
No, asshole, you are responsible for your own actions. But this is another thing I see often from conservatives. They try to punish you by doing something awful and claiming it’s your fault. This is the mindset of abusers. They say the things rapists say, “Just comply and it will go easier for you.” That might as well be their next campaign slogan.
Don’t be deceived by these monsters. We are not responsible for their actions. They are responsible.
They want us to be quiet. They want us to pretend we don’t see their crimes. They want us to not call them out on their deplorable behavior.
Our silence is what has gotten us into this mess. Our silence is what we’ve been doing the last few years. Our silence is compliance.
No more.
The simple fact is that the people who spew hatred against the LGBTQ+ community are the people who are most likely to be child abusers. Go and check the arrest statistics.
Don’t allow these monsters to stop us from calling out facts by attempting to suggest we are responsible for their crimes.
We’re not.
They are.
It’s time we started holding the guilty responsible. Even now in every community in the US, entitled jerks show up at school board meetings to complain about libraries with LGBTQ+ content. It’s up to us to equate the people who spew hatred against the LGBTQ+ community with child abusers.
BECAUSE IT’S A FACT!
The LGBTQ+ community is kind and generous.
Conservatives are a bunch of asshole child abusers and child abuse enablers. They’re the ones stopping public schools from having free lunches. They’re the ones hiding child predators in churches. They’re the ones restricting our access to health care. They’re the ones who make child care unaffordable. They’re the ones lowering wages. They’re the ones stealing money from public schools to give to religious schools. The list goes on and on.
Conservatives are a bunch of asshole child abusers. We aren’t going to make it stop by pretending it isn’t so. Say it loud. Say it often.
If we say nothing, the conservatives are certainly going to try to blame the innocent for their crimes. That’s what they always do.

Dear evangelical Christians,
If you threw your gay son out of the house when he had his first boyfriend, he won't be coming home to bury you. If you disowned your daughter because she came home from college wearing a man's suit & short hair, with a girlfriend, she ain't gonna invite you to the wedding. If you told your pansexual son & his husband the child they had through surrogacy is an abomination, don't cry about not getting to see your grandchild. If your transgender daughter hung herself & you buried her in a man's suit & etched her deadname into the tombstone, you're the reason she killed herself. If you told your child that nonbinary isn't a real thing, don't fucking ask why they didn't come out to you as nonbinary. If you should see LGBTQIA people having fun, say, at a Pride parade, and wonder how we can live with ourselves knowing we're going to evangelical hell, well, please understand we're not evangelical & we don't believe in your hell.
Sadly, I agree with all you state here Walter. All too often, attacks on the LGBTQ+ community stem from the shadows lurking in conservatives' minds. I listen to the progressive and liberal IHIP newscasters streaming from Oklahoma City, territory as red as you can get.
They've labeled JD Vance a failed drag queen and make no mistake, they love drag but not JD. He wears a smoky eye makeup and heavy eyeliner while he projects his hatred toward the gay and counter culture community.
The ultimate in hypocrisy and a pathetic attempt to continue ignoring his vengeful and cruel shadow. Thou doth protest too much, you spineless creature of the dark JD.
These toxic, heart-damaged people want us to give up and submit to their overwhelming red tide. The more they push, the greater I resist.
I will never turn my face away or silence my voice when it comes to freedom and equality for all. Thank you for another great article. 👏🏳️🌈💚🏳️🌈
