Silence is Compliance! Resistance Begins By First Putting Pressure on the Rational People

We need to be united in our objective to preserve our free society

It's only eight in the morning and I've already seen a dozen articles and comments that have made me both frustrated and enraged. I guess that means it's time to sit down and write.

The first thing that's happening is that rational people simply don't have their mindset where it needs to be. They haven't yet awakened to what's going on. They haven't adopted the warrior mentality that's needed in order to protect our children, our freedom, and our nation.

Make no mistake, our nation is under attack.

I'm seeing evidence that many people have fallen under the delusion that we have to consent to what's happening.

Bullshit.

Get that thought out of your mind. You don't have to be quiet. You don't have to try to “work” with the nefarious forces that only want to abuse you. You don't have to comply.

You have to resist. That resistance starts with changing how you respond to the bad things that are happening.

The first thing to do is you have to remind yourself that the only reason we've got an anti-Constitutional authoritarian in power is because of the tactics of vote suppression Republicans have been using for decades. They rig elections with gerrymandering, with voter ID laws, with the installation of judges that discard ballots, through the removal of drop boxes, the list goes on and on.

So don't sit there and fall under the delusion that the authoritarian is “what the people want.” The people aren't allowed to offer their opinion. That's a simple fact.

However, there's nothing we can do about that injustice right now. So put it in the back of your mind to fend off your absurd inclination to “obey,” but don't succumb to the frustration of what's been stolen from us and how unfair it is. That will only steal your productive power.

Remind yourself daily that we don't have to sit here and pretend as if the direction our country is going is the direction the American people want.

It is not.

The problem is that we're seeing compliance. The Democratic Party should be resisting every single action of the current administration.

They're not.

What we're seeing is Democrats trying to “work” with the party of destruction. They're making affirmative votes for unqualified candidates. Not all Democrats are doing this, but some of them are. The first thing we need is for all Democrats to be united in a common cause of resistance. That's our first objective.

The people that ARE standing up against the authoritarian regime are the women, people like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jasmine Crockett. They're doing good work. But until the whole Democratic Party is unified in their resistance, we're not going to get anywhere. We need powerful voices speaking out against what's happening. We need people like Barrack Obama and Kamala Harris and others to use their platforms to denounce the actions of our current, corrupt administration.

Pressure!

In order to get the Democrats unified, we the people have to apply pressure. We have to put the mental concessions aside. We have to recognize what we have a right to demand.

So I encourage all of you to examine your own mindset. Make sure that the things that you write, the things that you post, and the things that you say to people in public are helpful. Make sure that they are in support of the cause.

The cause is to preserve freedom. The cause is to preserve our society. The cause is to hold the false actors accountable.

If we're passive and do nothing, the authoritarians will destroy the nation and blame us in the process. That's how it's going to work. So speak up, speak loud, and speak truthfully.

Right now, too many rational people are doing the work of the other side. There's this prevailing attitude that we must hold ourselves to an absurd standard. We think that if there's so much as a comma out of place in our mission statements, we should silently retreat into the background.

That's conceding. You have to start reminding yourself that the trivialities don't matter. Stand up for what's right, don't succumb to the dishonest arguments that derail your momentum. Stop trying to be perfect. Instead, set your sights on a win and do not let that objective be denied.

If you are focused on perfection, you'll sit in the mud spinning your wheels. Shift your mindset. Advance! Move forward. Start stacking wins.

The problem with the political left is that they always lose focus and get spiraled off into nuanced arguments.

You ask them for the time of day and they tell you how to build a damn watch. Nobody cares. It's a philosophy of self-sabotage. Learn how to give the time of day without any of the bullshit.

An example can be found in the debate over the price of eggs. That's a convenient talking point because it's obvious. The right already understands the power of emphasizing an obvious message even when it's unfair. But they leverage that tactic based on deceit. If we leverage it based on truth, we aren't being like them. We're simply being prudent and giving ourselves a chance at a win.

The fact is that egg prices are too high. People want it lower. So, that's something we can talk about right now. That's a clear and obvious example of how the current administration is failing us. Hit the iron while it's hot.

Those of you saying, “Well, what happens when the price of eggs comes down?”

Unimportant! We'll just take credit for it when it happens, or we'll complain that it didn't happen sooner, or we won't talk about it at all.

Right now the left is occupied with imagining absurd scenarios that leave them reluctant to take any action. That's killing us! Take action and worry about the future later. The way things are going, there won't be any future soon. This whole hostile takeover is only possible because our side REFUSES to do anything!

Keep it simple. They promised to bring egg prices down. Instead, egg prices went up. People are not happy about it.

If we force the current administration to deal with the price of eggs, then they'll be distracted from their other objectives.

Another aspect of the problem is that we have too many people on the left with Ivy League degrees. They've lived lives of perpetual comfort, and they don't understand the rural mindset. They can't comprehend the amount of anger and angst that comes when a basic staple like eggs becomes unaffordable. Ivy League liberals can always afford eggs, so they don't understand. That's at the root of our problem.

I'm a rural liberal, you need to listen to me. I understand the mindset that we need to address.

We have to capitalize on the very real anger and frustration of the rural community. Instead, the Ivy League liberals like to lecture us into inaction with nuanced dissertations on how the marketplace functions.

Again, instead of the time of day, they tell us how to build a watch. NOBODY CARES! You steal the momentum of activism by doing that!

Just say, “He made a promise to lower the price. He said he would do it before he was sworn into office. He failed. Now that he is sworn into office, he has the power to offer subsidies to lower the price of that product. He refuses.”

I've made this argument and people, who should be on my side, start dithering nonsense like, “Well, subsidies won't change the egg supply...”

IRRELEVANT!

Rational people on the left don't know how to win this kind of battle! They're shifting the goal posts in anticipation, which is conceding in advance. It wasn't about supply, it was about price. STOP DOING THE WORK OF THE ENEMY FOR THEM!

“He could have brought the price down to a dollar a dozen and he failed because he doesn't care.”

How hard is it to repeat that message? If you actually started doing it, you'd see it's pretty effective.

Discussing the complex nuance of the marketplace just helps the other side.

What everyone has to recognize right now is that we are in a constitutional crisis. The Constitution is under attack. It was under attack from the moment they swore in an insurrectionist even though they had the power to prevent it at that point.

We're ignoring the Constitution, so you have to get your head in the game. You have to stop being fixated on these nuanced deferrals of strong arguments, and you have to shift your focus to emphasize wins rather than perfection.

We need some wins.

You need to emphasize that the people of the United States don't want to turn our country into a hatchery for billionaire pedophile sex island retreats. That's what the repeal of birthright citizenship is going to do. I wrote an article about this to give you something to share on social media. When you're scrolling through your feed and people start defending the various anti-constitutional executive orders, share that story! You don't even have to offer a comment, I wrote the title so that the message is abundantly clear:

USE IT!

Get used to saying, “Gosh, I'm not comfortable with an executive order that makes it easier for sex traffickers to make babies disappear.”

Republicans will have no argument for that, but we have to put pressure and make sure they're confronted with that comment. The reason we're in this mess is that we've held ourselves to such an absurdly high standard that we stop ourselves from deploying our most powerful arguments.

Our strategy has failed. We need a new strategy. Times are desperate!

The other side is pumped full of talking points that they get from right-wing media. We have to respond!

Right-wing media knows to give the time, don't tell people how to build a watch.

We keep bringing a tongue depressor to a gun fight and wondering why we get shot to pieces. Wake up people! You are very close to being out of time! We're not writing an academic paper, we're in a barroom brawl.

We have to save our society. We have to save our country. We have to preserve our freedoms. Don't tell me how to build a watch when I ask you for the time of day!

Strip away all the nuance and flip the switch in your brain to emergency mode. We need a commitment to productive activism. Do not work with the other side. The other side only exploits that commitment to goodwill and cooperation to push through more of their agenda. That's become abundantly clear.

You should have been able to see that if you are the intelligent, rational person that you think you are. Don't do the same thing over and over and expect a different result. Don't they teach Einstein in Ivy League schools?

At this point, everything must be resisted. Every statement must be denounced. Do not make any concession in any comment. I see far too many people that I know are intelligent, rational people who come and want to bicker with me about irrelevant trivialities in some of the statements that I make.

Don't you understand what we're up against? Get your head in the game! Adopt the strategy of resistance and help me defend democracy. Help me defend the Constitution.

DON'T TELL ME HOW TO BUILD A WATCH!

What we the people have to do is convey to our Democratic leaders that we won't tolerate their compliance with an authoritarian, fascist regime. The women that we've elected to power are already leading the charge, but we have to make our first appeals to the rational people that aren't doing enough.

This is our plan of attack.

Don't look so far down the road ahead that you stop yourself from taking the first step. We'll cross those bridges when we come to them. For the moment, rouse yourself and move forward. Build momentum. GO!

Our first objective is that we have to organize, we have to come together, we have to quit bickering over irrelevant details and be unified in our cause. We have to pressure the Democrats who are complying and let them know that's not acceptable.

We have to look to the rational people and switch their mindset first. Once we have that group in the fold, we will begin to gain power. That group can then pressure the next.

Don't sit there fretting about how we'll never reach the survivalists who drive around in rusty pickup trucks and have an arsenal in a military bunker they dug in the mountains.

You're right. We'll never reach them. There's nothing we can do about them, so don't think about them for now. Don't waste your energy. Instead, think about that guy's wife. Think about his adult children. Focus your efforts on people where you might have a chance.

Quit with the nuance and quit surrendering and quit conceding absurd and irrelevant points. Make it your mantra to tell people the time, don't tell them how to build a watch.

Pressure the Democrats. That's our first objective. Get them on the same page. Make them recognize the will of the people is NOT to sit here and allow authoritarians to destroy the Constitution. Silence is compliance! Be LOUD!

We need to gum up the works. If we can't oppose, we must delay. Tell them to shut the government down by refusing to make any concessions on the debt ceiling.

They cannot make any concessions. We've made too many concessions already. Every Democrat needs to vote against every nominee. That's where our pressure has to be. Appeal to the rational people around you to get with the program and start conveying the message.

Recognize that we're fighting for our survival as a free society. Don't sit around waiting for a perfect plan. We need to act now. We need to start getting some wins. Right now there's no resistance at all and that's why you feel hopeless.

Don't succumb to hopelessness. Instead, rouse yourself. When people ask you what time it is, tell them that it's TIME TO ACT!
