Why Is It We Must Be Ruled by the Worst of Us? Why?
Set aside the absurd belief that we are condemned to a life of misery
The United States government is a cavalcade of incompetent, impotent, delusional mad men. All of them old. All of them white. If only we had some diversity, maybe we'd have a fighting chance.
But no, we went with the ignorant, loudmouth, bullying blowhards. What a coup! What a coup!
The thing about criminals is that no matter how big the score, they're never satisfied. They're like their wives that way. They always want more, more, more. No matter how much they get, it's always too small, too little, not enough.
Uff, these odious men. If you gathered them all up together, put them in a room, and compared their positive attributes, there'd be less of value than you'd find in a stray rat.
A rat, at least, knows how to stay out of sight. These dolts will push through a crowd to get in your face. They're so desperate for adulation that all they ever achieve is contempt.
How did we get here? Was it our deliberate objective to choose from the bottom? I suppose, in part, it's because all the decent people want to get away. It leaves the entitled and arrogant left over to bleat and bang the chalkboard erasers together, and scream at everyone, and cough.
Oh, how I desire to never see any of them again.
Never again.
Were that they were gone.
Fortunately, I retain control of my television. I can turn the volume down. I can change the channel. These days I wake up in the morning and watch the antics of Tweety and Sylvester.
They're pretty funny. As far as I'm concerned, Coyote vs Road Runner is the only reality that exists. I care nothing about any other world that might be out there.
I'm looking into buying some chickens. Then I can get all my eggs for free. I'm told that's where they come from, but you can't trust any information these days.
For the foreseeable future, I'm just going to insist that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is president. The only people who care about the working class are those that are of the working class.
The only people who care are the ones who know what it feels like to be short of rent one month. They know the terror of how indifferent everyone in our society is when you are going through a rough patch.
“It makes no difference to me, as long as I have my money on Friday.”
The disconnectedness of the people in charge. It would be so funny to send them into a grocery store with a list of items and see how long it takes them to get them all. I expect many of them couldn't. They've never had to shop. They don't even carry money because nobody ever dares ask them for any. They're so out of touch they don't know how to answer when somebody asks, “Paper or plastic?”
And these are the people we expect to solve our problems.
Ask one how to change the oil in a car. Ask one what you can do if your car won't start on a cold day. Ask them how to change the air filer in a furnace.
They don't know, they don't know, they don't know.
But they do know about creating offshore tax shelters so they can hide their income. They know which billionaires have the best pedophile islands. They know which corporations are about to get government contracts, and they invest accordingly.
Those of you who still have faith in your candidate, I ask you, when is it going to get better for the working class?
When?
When is tuition going to be affordable? When are you going to be able to pay for an education? When will your taxes be reduced? When will your overtime pay be protected?
When, when, when?
I think, going forward, our best strategy is not to focus on Democrat or Republican. We don't have to say any names. We don't have to invoke any ideologies.
Instead, let's be fixated on our suffering. You can't buy a house, you can't go to school, you will never be able to retire, you won't be allowed to die with dignity. All those things are bad and nobody's doing anything to make them any better.
The odious rich white men with brain worms who lead us simply don't care. If you were to ask them they'd laugh at you. If you asked them while they were on television, they'd look serious, and nod, and continue to laugh on the inside where nobody could see.
I'm not sure why they do that, because if recent history is any indication our society is inclined to vote for the worst in all instances.
They vote for the worst. They vote for the worst. They vote for the worst.
Why? Why do they do that? Why don't they listen? Why don't they ask themselves, “Which of these two people would I want to spend any time with? The one who is kind? Or the one who shows me his teeth and the whites of his eyes?”
But that doesn't matter. Forget who anyone voted for. Get your mind right. The first thing to fix is yourself. Demand to be helped. The billionaires do! Nobody gets more government help than them, and they need it the least.
They're the squeaky wheel. We need to out squeak them.
It takes a stunning amount of propaganda to keep a lie aloft. The second all that effort and energy is lost, the lie comes crashing down.
But look at them! They keep at it don't they? They lie and they lie and they lie. They lie all the time and they never go away.
Turn the channel to Tweety. Give your brain a break.
I think everyone in our society has developed protective scar tissue. We can't hear each other through the armor we wear. We put on helmets to drown out the sound. Anything that sounds even close to political propaganda is tuned out. The malicious forces keep us at the breaking point so we can't get organized.
All we say is, “It sure is nice outside.”
Use that format. “Egg prices are sure high. I'd like to enjoy a weekend with my kids rather than work. Car parts are really expensive.”
That's where the fight is, the day to day things. The entitled, delusional, incompetent, impotent jerks in DC know nothing. They have staffed mansions and access to the U.S. Treasury. They don't know hardship! They've got nothing better to do than keep the airways flooded with static noise.
But we retain the remote controls. We can find places of silence if we wish. We can invite our friends along. We can teach them how to fish.
The task before us is to stop playing their game. It's the long con, the game of lies, the deliberate deceit. They trick us into giving power to the very worst human beings.
Let's stop playing that game.
Next time, let's pick somebody who cares about us for a change.
We can have that you know.

Well said Walter! Every relationship must start with OPEN & HONEST conversations. No lying, without manipulation! I find it’s easiest to fixate on greedy billionaires and they’re bought and paid for politicians. I simply want to know what are our elected officials are doing for me, an average working guy, with relatively simple needs. Right now they are doing nothing, oh wait they are, they are taking away stuff. Or not fighting for me .. I don’t want much in this world, compared to the ultra rich I don’t have much. Then. Why don’t they leave me alone? I’ll say it over and over again, if you’re not helping the working people of America, crawl back in your hole and let those who want to help, help us!
This latest political careening over the edge of sanity and probity is in its way a reflection of the complexity of our very diverse society. By that I mean diverse in every possible way, including thoughts, emotions, opinions, biases, hatreds. How else to explain why not only the old white man demographic but also many women and minorities supported this terrible excuse of a human being and his entire philosophy. This is the darkest aspect of self-governance: that the voters have their sacred duty, privilege, and right of self determination hijacked by mendacious demagoguery.
We have met the enemy, and he is us
