Walter, I really enjoyed this piece, which has so much truth in it. Besides being a writer, I am also a visual artist, who relies on flow in both disciplines to give myself a feeling of absolute freedom.
After much deliberation, I have come to the realization that I am my own muse; it comes from within. Also -- and people may disagree with me -- I don't believe in being inspired before sitting down to create. My muse is a little lazy. She only visits me willingly when she wants to. I have to poke her awake sometimes.

Yes, I’m the same way. I sit down and create something. Sometimes it’s better than I expected it would be :)
