For Four Years, Republicans Have Argued that the Vice-President Picks the Winner

Unfortunately for them, Kamala Harris holds that position for the 2024 election

You guys, something just occurred to me that I think is kind of funny. When the 2024 election is over, it will be up to Vice-President Harris to certify the results.

So, which is it Republicans? Was Trump wrong in 2020, and therefore guilty of criminal acts? Or was he right, and Kamala Harris has the power to determine the winner in 2024?

Let’s have your answer.

No matter what the final tally, this election will not be official until Harris bangs the gavel.

Now, I predict Harris will win in a landslide. Russian-owned propaganda media is trying to pretend this is a contest, but the American people aren’t going to vote for a rapist, traitor, convicted felon and disrespectful asshole.

We’re all SO TIRED of HIM!

But we should discuss the case where a bunch of dishonest Trump officials try to send in fake electors, just like they did in 2020. If they attempt to swindle the American people with another poorly thought-out attempt at election fraud, Harris can just send those documents back to the states for further examination.

Essentially, she has the power to do what Trump said Mike Pence “lacked the courage” to do.

I fully believe Harris is more courageous than Mike Pence.

But here’s the thing, in 2020, that action would have been illegal. Since then, things have changed.

The fraudulent, Supreme Court has made a bunch of dubious decisions that have more or less cleared the road for the next person to hold the office of Vice President to enact the Trump 2020 plan within the protections of the law.

That used to scare me, but then I remembered that the Democrats currently hold all those offices.

This is the thing that Republicans always forget: when they make dumb decisions and pass stupid legislation, those laws apply to everybody, not just a privileged few.

For the last four years, the Republican strategy has been to make it legal to corrupt our election process. I suppose they just assume that the Democrats won’t take advantage of it.

But… our country is facing annihilation. The presidential oath requires Biden to protect the Constitution. If he allows an insurrectionist to take office, that’s a violation of his oath.

Fortunately for him, and thanks to the special powers awarded by Trump’s supreme court, it’s not illegal anymore.

For the last four years, all we’ve heard is argument after argument after argument from Republican politicians and the right wing media about how Trump’s plan to insert his own electors was “totally fine.” They’ve even called it “patriotic.” The Supreme Court patted him back and said he absolutely had the power to do that.

Okay, great, then that’s what Biden/Harris should do.

Are you telling me that now, out of the blue, the Republicans are going to find all kinds of problems with that plan? Also, if they suddenly say it’s illegal, doesn’t that mean Trump and half of the Republican party will finally have to go to jail?

I mean, we all know that we live in a society with two sets of rules. There’s one set of rules for the rich and powerful, and one set of rules for the rest of us.

But… guess what, the Democrats are currently powerful. They have the office of President and Vice President.

So, all Harris has to do in order to become president is follow Trump’s demands. That’s kind of delightful don’t you think?

If corrupt, Trump-appointed election officials try to send in fraudulent documents that claim Trump won, Harris can just send them back.

“Get that out of here. Come back when you have the paperwork that shows a Harris victory!”

Then bang the gavel a couple of times for emphasis.

If the trump supporters try to start a civil war, let them. Biden is the commander in chief. Send out the national guard to quell the rebellion, but don’t be all that gentle about it. Come to think of it, use drones. Teach those dupes the meaning of law and order.

And again, this is all LEGAL! The Republicans in power have done everything they can over the last 10 years to defend everything trump wanted to do. They’ve bent over backwards to give him more and more and more power. 

But they couldn’t give that power directly to Trump, they had to give it to the office of the president.

Everybody seems to keep forgetting that Joe Biden is the president. Thanks to the supreme court, he currently enjoys immunity for his official acts. 

GREAT!

Harris must do the patriotic thing and vow to NEVER certify a fraudulent trump victory. After all, trump is so unpopular that we can assume any result that claims he won is proof of a rigged election. But unlike weak trump, the Biden administration won’t roll over and quit like the Trump administration did because now the law is on their side.

No dictatorship for you Donnie!

Then, once Harris is sworn in, she can prove her patriotism by passing a bunch of laws to clarify once and for all that the vice-president doesn’t determine the winner. While she’s at it, she can throw out the electoral college.

Let’s go back to one person one vote. No more voter dilution that gives extra power to white supremacists. That seems fair.

Harris will be the president of election integrity. From there, she can move to prosecute all the January 6th traitors still in office.

And all of it will be a legal and acceptable use of the powers the Republicans had intended for trump, but which they foolishly awarded while a Democrat still held the office.

There is no way Vice President Harris certifies a Trump win. Thanks to the Republicans, the 2024 election is a guaranteed victory for the Democrats.

I feel so much better now that I’ve noticed this.

The best part is that anyone who tries to claim I’m wrong is admitting that Trump needs to go to jail for his actions in 2020. Writing that brings me a warm, fuzzy feeling.

National guard, stand by and stand ready!
