Walter, I am subscribed and love your writing. You've seen my comments many times. I need to READ you, not listen to your voice. There is a huge difference! Please start writing again, stop talking. It is too difficult for me to go to.my desktop and fiddle with settings in order to enjoy you.
Hi Greg, I always post the voice recordings as a podcast in the afternoon. The articles are in the morning. This article originally appeared in text form about a month ago. The podcast has gotten me a lot of new readers, and I need to keep offering them to support myself. Unfortunately I can't select who gets the podcast or I'd change that for you. Thanks for your support! I wish I had a better solution!
Thanks, Walter. Unfortunately we really hardly ever take any real lessons-learned from one generation to the next. I just listened to one of my favorite folk singers from the 1960s and 1970s, Phil Ochs. Check out the Phil Ochs Essentials album - the songs are over 50 years old.
His commentary on what was going on during those revolutionary times could be played today without an issue.
One of the songs is really fun to listen to and probably explains a lot about liberals in our country. Check these out:
Original - released in 1965

"Hubris has collected on our psyche like cancer."
Wow. Powerful smile. Think I'll share it with my students!
