I’ve been searching for such ways so I can connect and bond with kind, compassionate people who don’t approach life from the prism of Jesus. And I’ve found so much from various influences.
I am all about resisting AND creating. We cannot leave the definition of prayer, blessing, benediction, or invocation to perversions by Christian nationalists. We can’t!
I have faith in a universal power, a universal logic and interpret the Bible metaphorically, as in the parables that Jesus used, similar to nursery rhymes to teach morality to kids. At the same time, I agree with you about this, unless the gathering is hosted by a religion. I stand up for freedom of religion, no matter the style or lack thereof.
