Language is so much more than sounds and words and grammar - when I became fluent in Deutsch while living in 🇩🇪 and 🇦🇹 I realized that the language reflects a completely different worldview. This is self-evident to anyone who has become fluent in multiple languages: you can’t become fluent without confronting cultural differences from your native tongue/culture/worldview.
Though I am late to the party, I am now working on español. 🇲🇽
