I love art, painting, creating, and building. I was the great recycler when I taught. I collected egg cartons, milk cartons, towel and toilet paper tubes, lids, newspapers, oatmeal boxes, even note cards, etc. The children chose media and created. We'd use the cards as pseudo cameras. It's amazing how a hole punch making a hole, then walking the campus to look for pointsxof interest, hold the "camera" up, and shoot a picture. Later we'd go back inside and the students woukd "develop" their film. Often those photos and created art were used in story writing. I'd rather create than write. Both are great links to others!
We can use the backs of cereal boxes instead of expensive paper.
