I have a big problem with Democrats and their "inaction"! I grew up in New York, and you see it here all the time, with so much of the back-and-forth infighting that's prevalent here. Many New Yorkers, especially those in rural areas of New York, are tired because of the Democrats' ineptitude. Western New York is huge and with many small towns and yet they still haven't come around to building an economy out there. And of course, we liberals tend to look down at them because we come from NYC. I think that's wrong to look down on them like that when all they want is a chance to live a good life again. I have driven through some of these towns from time to time, and many of those towns are barely hanging on, sitting near the mountains and plains.
Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity. Finding, verifying and shouting the truth is our only course of action. What would Yahweh, Christ, Mohammed, Buddha do?
:) Yup, but I prefer to follow scientists instead of religious leaders. Scientists are more humble. There's nothing more divine than admitting you are wrong :)
They're all (religious and scientist) driven by fallible ego. Pick your poison. Be ruled by God's love for man which includes his use of science. March in protest of evil greed.
Well, the religious leaders often claim that they are the voice of the divine and they cannot be questioned. That's lead to terrible atrocities against humanity.
Yes, I'm grateful that a few more votes are going our way. I am still mistrustful of the men who cast those votes. That's what I meant. Thanks for the comments Polly!
I’m fully behind the thought that we need a change of the leadership of the Democratic Party at the top - as long as the Schumercrats are in charge, sitting back waiting until “it really gets bad” The Democrats will lose this opportunity and momentum that Corey Booker gave us. I fully support having Corey Booker be the speaker of the Senate.
yeah, if they just immediately put him in it would have added to the momentum. Momentum is what they need right now, but the elites always insist on pulling the brake.
"It doesn't matter to them that the right is unified in destroying the working class."
Coming from a rural red county in deep blue Minnesota, if you really think this you are not going to reach very many rural red voters. It wont help either, talking about us like we are idiot bigot racist misogynist transphobes.
Well, that's what you are though. I mean, that represents everything you stand for. I'm in a red rural district too. When I was growing up, we used to teach about respect and accountability. Too bad that's completely gone from the Republican party today.
See, you know nothing about me, and yet you claim I am a racist etc monster. You are happy to fling such accusations at people you do not know, and then claim, ‘so what, since I spit in your face, how can you not agree with me.?’
I also need to remind myself these days to keep an open mind. Much to my surprise I found myself being grateful for my senators McConnell and Rand when they voted with Democrats to oppose Trump on some issue recently. There's hope!
Those weren't the defections I expected, but as long as we have the votes that's good. I still have trouble with the word "grateful" in this instance, but I see what you mean :)
Before action must come awareness - and that's where communicating comes in, talking to people, making them aware, and then once aware they are more inclined to act.
That's true. Generally, Republican voters just want to see action being taken and they don't sit around to contemplate whether the action is completely wrong. Good point Polly!

When democrats contribute to the anti-left sentiment, they sow the seeds of their own demise.

Yes. Action. There’s a saying: “Fortune favors the bold…”
The people are desperate for a populist that won’t screw them over.
Bernie, AOC, Crockett, and Booker have their fingers on the pulse. We all could be grooving to this beat.
Red and Blue. Economic reform, responsive government, addressing income inequality- these are universal desires.
Greg,
Thanks for these insights. I’ve had genuinely mixed emotions about these voters realizing only now that they lent their support to the antichrist.
A lot of them still haven't realized it
Copy that👍
I care!
I wasn't grateful that I agreed with my senators - I was grateful for a measure of sanity amid all this inanity.
