Thanks so much for this wonderful opportunity. I appreciate you a lot. Reading your work has helped me a lot. You see the injustices and you call them out. Your words changed my life for the better. You are one of the authors who gave me the courage to put my voice out there. Thank you.

Hello, Ms. Stevens!

I enjoyed what you had to say today. I'm glad you found the courage to use your voice out loud. Everyone deserves to be heard. I guess it's no surprise that you are affiliated with the sentient voice of this substack.

I am so happy for you that you're planning to, more specifically, share your experiences about how you are viewed in this country/world as a black woman, and how others' views of you can impact you, and what you can do to retain your sense of self, in spite of, and how difficult that can be. So many people will be interested in either hearing their own experience echoed in your POV, publicly, and maybe for the first time, without animosity, in a safe space, while others may find out what it's actually like to walk a mile in your shoes.

This country needs a healing and compassionate broadcasting, and listening without being judged or meeting up with opposition, needs to be a part of that healing. I'm hoping it will sensitize and awaken those people who have "pre-set," perhaps unconsciously-inherited, opinions that are entirely without foundation and merit.

I wish you much success.

Be well!

Christy🇺🇲❤️🕊
