I remember enjoying The Ref back in the 90s, also Bad Santa. I doubt they’ve aged well... Enjoy your cookies and your break. Consider Desk Set for a retro Christmas movie. Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracey and computers - in 1957. Written by Nora Ephron’s parents it stands up surprisingly well.

I think I would like something like that! The other day we ended up watching a bunch of Christmas Episodes from Happy Days. that brought back some memories!

I remember how cozy & old fashioned they seemed to a late 70s kid. Then i realise that 25 years ago was the turn of the century, which seems as cutely retro to today’s kids. Oof.

Yes, I had the same feeling. It ran from 1974 to 1984, and that's where Robin Williams got his start. I read something about how the showrunners had placed suggestions about an abusive relationship between Joanie and an older brother character (Chuck Cunningham) who subsequently disappeared when the show became popular for its wholesome veneer. It's revealing to contemplate the extent to which that mythology never existed. Even the show ended up being too afraid to tackle the truth.
