I want to thank you for wearing your Kamala bling. It's so rare to see it, and it does help us who feel afraid around the Maga creeps.

Thank you. I think the MAGA creeps need to know that there are allies about who don't like them very much. They think they can get away with anything. Just wearing the shirt shows them they can't.

For you Walter! Just the fact that you are a man, and not a peewee Herman type guy makes all the difference. The maga cult will not stand up to a strong (in your face guy) man who doesn’t want to flex his muscles. They are cowards mostly and need a platform like maga to spew their hatred towards anyone that doesn’t look like them.

Yup! And that’s why I think it’s important for men to wear their Kamala gear!

Some people are afraid to show their support for Kamala Harris so I encourage everyone to get such shirts!

I am wearing my "Kamala removes stubborn orange stains" shirt and getting lots of "where-did-you-get-this?" 👇 🤣

The enthusiasm surrounding this campaign is at levels NEVER seen before.

Go Kamala!

I have a couple dozen - and counting - Harris/Walz shirts and am wearing one every day until the election, and possibly all the way to the inauguration. I'm in Zoom meetings all the time and it gives me a reach all over the country this way.

Me too. I'm also mixing in some "I stand with immigrants" and "I read banned books" shirts. :) I used my "vote for her, he's a crook" slogan on my substack profile as you can see.

I only wish Canada could find a new leader with a unifying voice like hers. Justin Trudeau was like that in 2015, but all the air has been sucked out of him by now.

It sure does in Canada. And then they wonder why the rest of us talk about them as if they were the Devil and the other archangels of Hell.

Two of them yelled at me just as I was carrying my Harris sign a few blocks from the Dem office to my house! I was not waving it around — just carrying it normally. They’ll yell at a grandma but not a younger and physically imposing man.

Yup. The MAGA movement has been defined by cowardice.

Walter, I'm so glad you are not easily intimidated and can wear your Kamala gear with a smile. I have dealt with the same type of men, gym rats, in my workplace. As a black female they've tried many times to bully and intimidate me. Unfortunately for them I'm not easily intimidated. I applaud people who have the courage like you who are not afraid to publicly show your support for Kamala.

It makes such a difference just to have a person in the room wearing that stuff, even if you don’t say or do anything. The bad guys know they will encounter resistance. Good for you for standing up to them, though I wish you didn’t have to.

This is so cool. Very well put. I'm a petite lady in the country and I do feel afraid to put out yard signs. I have a maga maniac across the road who has assault rifles on his Facebook page and that does worry me. Never know when these goons will go off. Thank you so much for your confidence, it's awesome!

Walter Rhein's avatar

If you don't feel safe then you shouldn't put out the signs. There are some real psychos out there, and they're all MAGA.

What a great read. We're encouraging wearing the gear here also, one t-shirt at a time as Gov. Walz might say. Like the yard signs, once you see one, they give others the courage to do the same.

You're right. It's nice to do anything to make them feel ashamed. They should feel ashamed for the disrespectful behavior they support.

I didn’t realize such a small portion could bench 225. Even if it was 3% that’s still small. With your body type you could probably get to 275 relatively soon. That would be the next big milestone imo. Anywho, I think it’s about time I get some “,la” gear myself and watch MAGA implode.

Walter Rhein's avatar

It surprised me too. I think it's because it's relatively common for people who go to the gym to bench 225, but how many people regularly go to the gym? I like to cross-country ski, so even getting to 225 adds too much bulk for what I'm trying to do. That upper body weight is heavy!

Just trying to do my part to encourage and positively reinforce healthy masculinity and men exhibiting excellence in the world. Thank you for your example and efforts, including published writing. Noted and appreciated. It's not only men who need the example, but also women who need to see something different than that with which we often face.

Where are you all getting these things? I would love to get some signs and shirts. I donates to many of the candidates in these races, I did get a Cory booker number sticker once. This is Georgia and I don’t do number stickers, during the Obama campaign, my car got scratched up and banged up. But wearing a shirt will be great.
