I also have two daughters. They are grown now but they are the most precious parts of my life and mean everything to me. They are also artistic. One daughter's painting is on the wall in my dining room. The other daughter's painting is in the living room at the entrance to the hallway. Now I have grandsons and they also love to draw and paint. Thank you for sharing your family with us, your readers.

Thank you for sharing yours too Jay! I love having their artwork around, it's such a living and breathing piece of them! I use their artwork in my stories often :)

I wish every little girl had the same experience. I want to work to create that kind of world. Thank you!

It's hard to explain how hard you fall in love with your children, but you did it. It's the same with grandbabies. My dad told me you love your grandkids as much as you love your kids. He said it when my girls were little. I didn't believe him. He was right. You'll see.

I miss those precious little babies. I expect that you're right. I expect that with every movement, I'll be reminded of those wonderful days when my own children where small... those days that went by so fast!

Walter, it's beautiful! I would like to add, that only one thing can even be better: to have a daughter and a son! Not that any of them is more adorable, but they are different. I am that lucky! By now you know our family’s setup. On top of it the girl and the boy have never been jealous.

My father wanted badly a girl, he got my brother and me. When my daughter arrived he was the happiest grandpa of the world. My two children are above fifty now, and are living in different countries, the bond is tight between them. My daughter has a girl and two boys, my son adores his two daughters. On those rare happy days, when we are all together at some geographical location, joy and happiness reigns. My dear wife is the only one missing.

From a man who only has one child---who is my son---I took great vicarious pleasure in your fine essay. How wonderful to have two such lovely, sweet and kind daughters.
