Your content attracts a public that, I suspect, values substance over form. I hope that that's good to hear, as well.
Note that you can shape the heading that comes in on e-mail notifications in your settings. Fact is, yours come in as "Walter Rhein from ..." and, by the time one has read "Walter Rhein", one knows what it's about, without reading the rest.
Thanks. It's good to get feedback from the other side. I was told that I'd do better if I had some sort of a title that would draw in readers that don't necessarily know who I am. I'm still learning though. I'll have to make sure I look at my inbox the next time I get an email from myself :)
I never thought of myself as a progressive writer, but I think that I am by virtue of subscribing to your newsletter, I am! Thanks for your valuable advice, Walter.
Thanks for that nice comment. I was looking for a succinct word for writers who wanted to change the world, but a lot of my work is anti-racism too. Glad to have you aboard!
Thank you Kristina! I planned on attending the live chat, assuming life doesn't get in the way. We're at the end of our school year so there's a lot going on, but I should be able to make it!
I am not an expert on KDP. I've never been able to make any money publishing books. I think you're better of serializing your books on Substack, or building an audience on Medium.
QUESTION: I've been having more misses than wins on Medium lately. I'm trying to learn what needs to be fixed. Sometimes, after publishing an article, I suddenly realized that the title should have been more explicit and precise. What do you think about changing an article title after it's published in a Medium publication? Yes, no, and will it make a difference? | Thanks for sharing the evolution of your Substack. It helps to hear your thinking about it as an experienced writer.
I think you’re better off having a good title the first time. You can change it, but it’s not the best practice. If you’re having trouble with titles. I’d suggest using a tool like CoSchedule. It’s also good to sit on an article overnight before publishing it (if you can).
The strategy of keeping content free while allowing for paid subscriptions to exist is what I use for my newsletters. I don't believe in restricting content solely to force others to pay for it.
And we obviously share a dislike for the various Pinocchios on the American right...
Your name changes still have some to go before you break Kazakhstan's capital city's record. I'll be honest, I hadn't noticed.
That’s actually good to hear, I was wondering if people had noticed or been bothered by them.

Thank you Amalia!
Restacked my friend! Thanks for the shout-out. Think it's smart with the guest posts. David is still waiting for mine 😂
Will I see you later in our live with David?
Glad I could inspire you and thanks that I can be part of your newsletter journey, Walter.
I have so many cool inspiring people for our school.
I bet they'll spark even more 💡💡💡💡💡
Also think Mediuk is the best blog you can have right now - besides a blog you own of course.
Love your name change.
Maya also changed the title of her pub. Now it's more precise crisp and tasty. I know exactly what your pub is about

PS: fuck Republicans.
Yes.
Actually, I take it back - I am NOT in a similar position as you because I don't have 1000+ followers on Substack. LOL. Just keeping myself honest. :)
I’m SO behind this noble mission.
Awesome! I'm glad you're here!
GRACIAS
Can you help with KDP, I want to publish two of my books on KDP, how do I go about it and is it worth it?

Thanks Walter

Thanks, those are helpful tips!

What are your thoughts on Inkitt?
I don’t know anything about it
