Owning your writing and your database of subscribers that you have control over is why it makes sense to work with a reputable email marketing solution provider that gives you complete and unconditional control and ownership of your assets.

But, when I say that and tell them what our pricing is, the majority of people say they don't want to pay for it or they want the absolute cheapest app they can find. It inevitably comes back to bite them in the ass.

Keep it going, Walter. Do you write fiction? If yes share links to your books😉

My brother has done the Birkie for years but decided this year was the last. I thought he'd continue into his 80s like his trainer. I guess 70 was good enough 😎

I want to make a difference with my writing even if sometimes it's just to make people laugh. If I can make them laugh at things they should think seriously about -- well, we'll see if I can pull it off.

Thanks Patricia! I'll keep at it as long as I'm able. The harder part is reaching an audience. Thanks for your support!

Do you mean "notes" as in entries?

I'm talking about substack's notes. It's where the restacks go. Basically, I think writers need to be constantly sharing ideas.

Thanks! I heard you and Zuri(?) talking about them, but I didn't know what they were or how to utilize them. Are they meant to be ideas for stories or thoughts to build a particular story? Are you supposed to use the 30-50 notes every day? I'm confused.

What would be an example of a note about your sick puppy story?

You can do anything with notes. It's like your feed in other social media platforms. I usually share every story I write to notes. When you write a comment, you'll see a box that says, "also share to notes," which I usually check. I can share your comment to notes. That's in addition to writing comments on notes like you suggest. The objective is to be an active presence on notes and share everything your working on.

Are you recommending 30-50 Notes daily!?

Yes, if you can! I crank them out, but if that's not something you can achieve then it's not the end. I find that once I'm over 10 notes, I tend to get a follower for every note I write, so think of it that way.

I have found so many great Substacks through an interesting note that links to one of their articles. Sometimes it's just a thought-provoking post that prompts me to see what else the poster has written.
