Walter, anxieties over evil men ruling the people, even while the children witness the wickedness... for sure, this is a perplexing dilemma...but at least the young have within them a organic goodness and will find courage to face the challenges that confront them as they become adults. We must continue to nurture, protect and train up our young in the ways that they "should" go. In the animal kingdom, the apes, whales, horses, lions, each bring new life and feed and protect the young, plus they belong to usually a herd, band, etc. which gives extra support, as there is strength in numbers. Along with the parents- the young get help from the other male and female adults. They teach them how to run when trouble approaches, ( being aware of the predator) and how not to be the weak prey. They teach the young how to gather food and shelter, mate and reproduce in kind and generally they have a "will" to survive, an instinct to sense danger. For example, in horses the fight or flight behavior is innate-they want to live-- what ever may come!

How was HE raised? What was HE taught? Who nurtured HIM to be in complete lack of integrity? Good question. But don't spend too much time analyzing him. Life is not a fairytale. The big bad wolf and the tree pigs, the hungry fox & Red Riding Hood on her way to grandma's house...these are metaphors to teach not just entertain a child at bedtime.

When adults, grow-up, see their problem, admit and accept their duty and responsibility to the young, then they will find a way to rid the village of the werewolf or the monster Frankenstein.
