Bernie talks about how close (one paycheck away) many are to economic disaster. Many people ignore what you’re talking about because they’re afraid of just how close they are…
GOP has no time for poor, sick, single mothers, hungry children, hungry old. We definitely need to do a better job of caring for everyone. We supposedly are the richest nation in the world. My questions are: why homeless? Why starve children? Why horrible Healthcare?
Thank you Walter and Michelle for the opportunity to listen to your insightful and informative conversation. You were so spot on, especially your observations on Europe and what life is like there, compared to what we are experiencing in the U.S. I am now on Medicare and it works, just like public healthcare in Europe. Medicare for All in this country would be easy. We need to tax the rich and those individuals who are well paid and under taxed. We can solve all of our problems. Let’s be Europe.

Where the Crawdads Sing was one of the best portrayed poverty.
I need to read that book. I gave a copy to my dad for Christmas one year but never got around to reading it myself.
