I have worked with narcissistic leaders all my life. Don’t forget to add charm and seeming confidence (even if its not real) Sometimes they can be very charming. This is one way they work the crowds and/or get into position. It is very important. People don’t have the discernment to see through the ruse until it is too late.

Personally Trump always disgusted me, but I have a pretty good bullshit meter. I could never understand why people watched his tv show. Yuck is what I thought, what a waste of time.

You see these kind of people get very popular in the media, in high school, at church, they always grab the attention. The other traits tend to become more visible over time.

Then there are the assholes, they push their version of toxic manliness all over the place and find a bunch of insecure male followers…

The fact is, people give them their power.

We need emotional intelligence curriculum in school along with all the other things you suggest. We need to watch for bullies at school and get them the help they need early, because bullying is a trauma response and they need care to become an empathetic human.

"We have to embrace critical thinking. That means questioning everything. Today, we're not allowed to do that."

Perhaps not in the U.S., but the U.S. is not and never has been the whole world. In Canada, the only thing threatening universities is their more politically inclined students (pro-Palestine ones particularly). We've been exposed directly and indirectly to so much of your culture and politics that we seem to have built up immunity to the worst parts of it.

The US has a very bad reputation for toppling democratically elected politicians who work for the benefit of the nation. That US military does have an awful influence on the world, as does our media. But you're right, there are many places that have managed to thrive despite this influence.

Very good job with this, Walter. Working on a new one featuring Mike Huckabee.

Anything on your list he DOESN'T fit? Fred

I dislike him. I keep hoping he'll just go away. He's another one of those guys who tries to hide his hate behind his religion.

What I have always depended on regarding living by the rule of laws is that you know exactly what to do and what not to. That is a comfort. Destroying my comfort level by destroying our essential structure of laws is inexcusable. I want to apply our laws to indemnify us. We deserve to be made whole again after all this travesty. ... Oddly, in opera *en travesty* means a woman singing a man's role and vice versa. We women must take over singing the men's roles and give those guys a break.

I really want the women to take over too. It's past time.

I vote for that. Look at thesemale governors. For the most part, they run their states with a cool but strong head.
