Man you are a braver soul than me. I hate mice oh my goodness the noises they make and that scratching. I remember me and my partner Carlos when we first got our first place together the place was infested with mice. We didn't have much money to go anywhere since it was our first place but eventually we moved. Praise the Lord lol. There is just something about their looks and their sounds. But all seriouness it was funny man. I can just imagine. Great story. Well written as always friend. I can just picture your kids in this tale what a hoot. Anyways you have a beautiful blessed day friend. Blessings. :) :)

Thank you Bill :) I don't like mice either, but by the third one it didn't seem like a big deal. We haven't had too much of an issue with mice, but haha, I guess they must have been in the walls the whole time. I wonder how many more we'll catch. :)

Luckily we have a cat could have used his skills back now. Lol. We've had him for twenty years now he's too old. Luckily we live in a nice place in Phoenix and no mice Hallelujah.😁😁

We didn't think we had mice either until they started filling up our traps as quickly as we could put them out. For the most part, they don't do much.

Best story I’ve read in a while❣️

Thank you for sharing and, of course, for the laughter ensued while reading your story.

When I was about four, our house was near an open field, so of course, mice got in. One morning I opened the pantry to get cereal and a mouse literally flew out and hit me in the chest! After that, I was horribly afraid of them. I mean “standing on a chair screaming” afraid. Years later, when I was turning 60, I went on a vision quest. I was sitting under a juniper shaking a rattle when movement caught my eye. A mouse was approaching! My entire body tensed, but I kept shaking the rattle as it drew closer and closer. Finally, we were just looking at each other. After about ten minutes of intense scrutiny, the mouse turned and meandered off. My companions on the quest renamed me “Stares Down a Mouse,” after hearing the tale. I wear that with pride! Thanks for a great story!

Sweet, sweet story. Hope your mouse family has left the premises. It reminded me of the June my big brother (8) and I (6.5) crossed the city alone each morning, 1.7 miles, for swimming lessons - an act that could get a mother arrested today. The scariest thing that happened on those walks was the day a baby red squirrel ran up my leg!

Haha! Yes, I live in fear of rodents running up my leg too :) Thanks for the kind comment!

Such a fun story, and an experience your family will never forget! Thanks for a non-political reprieve. I’d like to know the brand of no-kill traps you use, as I have a friend who’s got mice and doesn’t like killing them, either. He’s tried several brands, to no avail.

That was lovely! Thank you for setting humane traps. That warms my soul. And like so many I have been down in the dumps since the election and each new cabinet position is announced I sink a little lower. Your story made me smile. Your daughters are delightful!

Hilarious, I had a good gut laugh at the thought of the girls going to school and explaining why they were so tired.
