Best read this year. Perfect balance to the bullshit coming through my mail. Dancing again today

Thank you so much. I was very down yesterday, too much doom-scrolling about the muskrat and his Curtis Yarvin strategies (thx, @opinionatedogre). Was looking for places to live in Canada (Calgary seems nice). After reading this I can take a breath, recalibrate, and focus on getting through the next four years.

You are so correct. I haven’t been feeling any anger, just disappointment .. because I am doing nearly exactly what you are advocating .. it doesn’t mean I am hiding, oh hell no .. I am old yet I can connect people to good information ..

I love this!! So funny you write this, because suddenly…just yesterday, I started feeling super light. Like none of this matters right now, we are standing up, we are protesting, we are fighting him in court, the dems are finally speaking up, the ACLU is suing him. None of us are backing down. He will leave this country in shambles, no doubt. But we WILL survive and thrive and hopefully the other half of the nation will have learned something 💙

Thanks for this, Walter. My favorite line was, "He’ll crumble into nothing, all that will be left is the stink." It is so true. As for me, I'll be hanging on to my anger. It gives me that sharp edge I want to have when writing about the Criminal-in-Chief. And, I always feel better after bashing him. It is my way of fighting back.

"He stomps around bullying Canada. CANADA! Like a fucking asshole!"

American Presidents were bullying Canadian leadership long before him. In the 1960s, Canadian Prime Minister Lester Pearson (a Nobel Prize-winning peacekeeper) tried to give President Lyndon Johnson some advice on the war in Vietnam, but Johnson instead held Pearson by the labels of his suit coat and said, "Don't piss on my rug."

Believe me, we're used to this.

OMG. Thank you. Every word you've written is true, and I knew it before reading it but I had let myself get scared to death, waking up this morning at 4am in a panic. But you're absolutely right. I had a boss once who bullied me, and when I finally stood up to her because I decided I had nothing left to lose, the relief was enormous. And guess what? I won and life was good. But seriously, thank you. Your words have made a HUGE difference.

Cheryl, I had a boss like that years ago. I’m not sure I’ll ever completely get over that bullshit. Just wanted to let you know I see you and I know how hard it is to function in that type of environment. Good for you!

I love this Walter. I have been laughing at these two buffoons lately, they are just too ridiculous for words. It does help to stress less as well by laughing at their antics. And as a Canadian, they do not know us at all. We are kind, but strong and stubborn when pushed.

Yeah. I'm in Wisconsin. Everybody says we're nice too, but watch what happens when we get pushed. I know Canada well enough to know you don't make reckless comments to pick a fight. Our leadership is an embarrassment. Thanks for your kind comment!

Sorry Walter I'm still at pissed and effin angry. But definitely gonna put a pin in this your inspired exhortation to laugh our asses off hysterically at the bullies. Maybe next week!

I am right in line with you! Maybe the same boat? Watching the same movie, sequel edition? It's why I picked up a couple hobbies like sourdough and more reading with the gamer in me resurfacing. Is there such a thing as too much reading or too many books? Rhetorically, absolutely not. We need people to be around when the rebuilding starts. That is where I have a particular skillset, so I will be keeping it in shape while keeping an eye on the big picture of each moment. Joy, in and of itself, is its own rebellion, and I plan to roll around in it like a pig in shit on a hot day.
