Excellent premise: “Life is not a competition, it’s a cooperation.”

I wouldn't count on it. If Jan 6 wasn't enough of a wake-up call for magas, then they're totally on board with trump. Don't care what they say in private about their "concern". Their actions are, and have been loud and clear!!!

You said it all. I feel bad for the farmers too, getting what they voted for. I live out on the prairie. We need farmers and down home on the farm wisdom. This teaching moment might be a good thing. It is happening to you too, Republicans.

These people would deny that they were shot in the foot long enough to get gangrene and die.

Yes! Said so well. We are a community and when we live as a community we all benefit. I feel as you do-I don’t want the people affected by this hateful administration to suffer, but I want them to “see” and help us get someone better!

I’m a small commercial organic farmer who has been in business for 35 years. When I started farming I never considered government help because I didn’t want to relinquish my property, my knowledge, my labor to the government. Government is risky for small farmers and eventually large corporations step in and it’s goodbye to the farm and the farmer. My Dad offered this advice when I began farming: don’t buy more than you know you can pay off without sacrificing your land; always own your land. He was right. I sacrificed a great deal but I never allowed government to assist me.

Well, if you’ve ever used a public road then you’ve enjoyed the benefit of government assistance. We all need a government that assists us. If we don’t work for that, we get one that harms us (like the one we have now).

Great concept, but the US isn't a good friend or neighbor. Just look at what is happening with tariffs

Hang on for that 25% increase in fertilizer prices via the Trump Tariff Tax. Farmers mostly voted for Trump. Give them what they asked for!

"When you put hate out into the world, hate comes back to you"

You probably shouldn't bleed so much hate for farmers, Republicans, conservatives, tech bros, billionaires, your dad etc...that is really all this is, top to bottom.

Nah, it's not hate to call out the haters.

You don't have to be tolerant of intolerance.

This seems to come up a lot.

That is called projection, spewing hate while saying the people you are calling out are full of hate. It is easy to tell because you claim they are all full of hate, which means you really have no idea what those folks believe.

No one hates America more than the left. It is like saying I’m saving democracy while embracing authoritarism, censorship and lawfare, while claming that is what the right is doing. It is like blaming Russia for Trump, while refusing to see how the media, intelligence community and our tax dollars are used to manipilate Americans, and then acting like we need to start WWIII to destroy Putin.
